Progressing tiers in Terraria is a lot more challenging and combat oriented. Terraria is more focused on combat, mechanisms, AFK farm building and some events like invasions and moons. "at home" on one planet if you didnt build a bigger base on it. Both games offer the ability to collect things, but Terraria shines in the loot department where Starbound shines in the museum department.
